Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Hockey would be conducting the 11th Hockey India Senior Women’s National Championship 2021 from October 21 to 31 at Jhansi.
While announcing this on the occasion of the National Sports Day, which coincides with the birth anniversary of legendry Major Dhyan Chand, UP Hockey’s secretary, Dr RP Singh said every since the Hockey India came into existence, the Uttar Pradesh Hockey have successfully been conducting the national championships of all categories in Uttar Pradesh successfully.
“Uttar Pradesh Hockey has been conducting national hockey championships of all categories on regular basis at various places in the state, including Saifai, Lucknow and now it’s the turn of Jhansi to hold the event,” said Dr Singh during his visit to Jhansi.
“UP Hockey is committed for the development of the game and we will leave no stone unturned in making this championship a great success,” he added.
“Besides conducting various national championships in the past, the Uttar Pradesh Hockey owns the pride of conducting the Junior Men’s World Cup Hockey at Lucknow in 2016,” he said.
